Weekly Feedback...
Today's lecture was a catchup session and reminder of where we should be at with our Genealogy projects.
I have generated ideas for this brief and looked at multiple object choices:
> Relate the object to an artist - a found pen, pencil, crayon, notes, paint, brushes etc.
> Bottle - this could be the bottle cap or bottle itself - the narrative relating to where it came from
> Space - look at planets, small black holes - things that have been discovered through science and what they do, what they hold etc.
> House - finding a new home, just moved house the narrative could relate to where the house is, why the need to move etc.
I will take these four ideas and create small narratives for each and figure out which would work best as an idea.
I have also been thinking about my final outcome (briefly) and I have become inspired by Eduardo Paolozzi, he was considered to be the pioneer of Pop Art. I have researched and used the Pop Art movement as inspiration in past projects and throughly enjoyed learning about new artists and how I can use their work as inspiration to create my own. Depending on what my final outcome is (e.g. poster, article) I am aiming to include artwork inspired by the Pop Art movement and specifically Paolozzi's work.
